Darkness Rush is a platform action game along the lines of Canabalt and Jetpack Joyride. With a setting very similar to that of Castlevania, Darkness Rush is a fun game that will have you running, jumping, and flying nonstop. When you start, you can choose between different characters: a vampire, a werewolf, or a woman who you'll have to unlock before you can select her. As you advance through each round, you'll collect more and more coins that not only let you access other characters, but also get special objects to give your character certain powers. And you'll certainly need them, since the games are chock-full of dangers like thorns, lava spills, fireballs flying straight at you, etc. The game's graphics are spectacular for several reasons: the artistic design, inspired by the Castlevania saga, is spot-on, and the use of the Unreal Engine makes the graphics really shine on an iPad or iPhone. Darkness Rush has quite simple gameplay, but it's very fun and addictive anyway. Top-notch among games of the genre where you constantly run, jump, and hit things.
